With more and more people turning to Linux, Microsoft itself is starting to adopt WSL.(The Subsystem for Linux project integrates various popular Linux distributions into the Windows 10 platform and develops new functions for the Linux kernel.

Microsoft has not only confirmed that it is already developing Microsoft Teams, for Linux, but also said it will upload it to software libraries on popular GNU/Linux releases, including Ubuntu and Debian, meaning that users can easily add Teams to the system through PPA repo.

At the current Microsoft Teams User Voice Feedback Forum, more than 9,000 votes have been requested for the GNU/Linux version. But don't expect Microsoft Teams for Linux to be open source because the code will remain proprietary.
