Toshiba Enterprise PCIe 4.0 SSD debut: U.3 interface, support NVMe 1.4

Toshiba recently unveiled its PCIe 4.0 SSD product line for the first time, includingCD6 Series for Data Center and CM6 Series for Enterprise.

Both are adopted.A New U.3 Interface Designed for Enterprise Applications (Standard Name SFF-TA-1001)The thickness of the disc body reaches 15mm, which can accommodate more flash memory. The CM6 series is equipped with dual interfaces, with better reliability and redundancy.


They are all based on Toshiba's latest BiCS 96-tier stacked flash memory, but the capacity is not disclosed and they all support it.The latest NVMe 1.4 protocolIn view of the enterprise application, it will be further strengthened and optimized.

CD6 Series is suitable for cloud computing, CDN, database and other fields. It supports PCIe 4.01 X4 and is a perfect upgrade of traditional SATA solid-state storage.

CM6 Series is suitable for high performance computing, large data analysis, container and virtualization, database and other fields. It supports PCIe 4.01 x4/2x2.The maximum data transmission rate can reach 6.7GB/s.



Samsung has previously launched an enterprise PCIe 4.0 SSD PM1733It provides two modes of dual U.2 interface 2.5 inches and PCIe half-high and half-long expansion card. Both of them support PCIe 4.0 X8 bandwidth with a maximum capacity of 30.72 TB. It is nominally holding 8 GB/s and reading 1500K IOPS randomly.
