CCSA TC5 has already started and completed the planning of 5G standardization system. At present, it has undertaken a large number of 5G basic network standards, and started development in the second half of 2018. According to the plan, the first batch of 5G standard project drafts will be submitted for review during the whole meeting, and it is expected to be released within the year. The follow-up 5G standard projects will also be reviewed and submitted for review at the end of this year and the first half of next year.
The forty-ninth plenary session of the Wireless Communication Technology Working Committee (TC5) was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, with the theme of “5G NaaS (Network as a Service) – Carrier-class Private Network Solution”.
At the seminar, experts from different operators introduced their achievements in 5G network construction and operation-level private network requirements and application scenarios; experts from relevant equipment manufacturers introduced how 5G slicing technology can drive the construction of new business models, how to To meet the network needs in the digital transformation of all walks of life; experts from research institutions combine the standard research status, propose the overall architecture and process of intelligent slicing, and also point out the challenges faced in the process of intelligent slicing and the prospect of business model. Although the lecturers have different perspectives, they all reflect and show that the 5G private network is an important starting point for the vertical industry and an important guarantee for the success of 5G commercial operations.
