When capturing Street View images, the vehicle collects data from unencrypted Wi-Fi networks such as email and passwords. If no settlement is reached, the company may be fined billions of dollars. Bloomberg noted that the deal must still be approved by the San Francisco judge.

Another $11 million settlement was a hiring practice for age discrimination, and 227 people filed a class action lawsuit against Google. Google is accused of discriminating against job seekers over the age of 40.

In addition, it is reported that Google's YouTube recently reached a settlement agreement with the US Federal Trade Commission, which was previously accused of illegally tracking how minors use the platform's data. Neither has provided more details about the settlement.
