Jinshan Software has raised 2.05 billion yuan for research and development of office products.

The prospectus shows that Jinshan Office intends to issue no more than 101 million shares of the company, no more than 21.91% of the total equity after the issuance, and no more than 461 million shares after the issuance. This issue only covers the public issuance of new shares, excluding the transfer of shares by shareholders.

Funds raised are mainly used for WPS.OfficeOffice Software Client Enhancement and Optimization, WPS Office Software Safety and Reliability Enhancement and Optimization, WPS Office Products and Services Globalization Development and Upgrading, Human-Computer Cooperative Auxiliary Writing System Research and Development Project Based on Massive Corpus, AI Natural Language Processing Platform Project, AI Computer Vision Recognition Platform Project, Office ProductsCloud servicesR&D center construction, Internet value-added services R&D and other projects. The total amount of funds to be raised is about 2.05 billion yuan.

According to the announcement, Jinshan multi-platform office software achieved net profit of 214 million yuan and 311 million yuan in 2017 and 2018. In December 2018, the number of active users per month (MAU) of Jinshan's main products exceeded 310 million, of which the number of active users per month of WPS Office desktop version exceeded 120 million.

As of May 31, 2019, Lei Jun had 25.7% of the total shares issued by Jinshan Software.

It is worth mentioning that on April 25 this year, third-party payment company Lakara was listed in Shenzhen, up 44% on the first day. In 2005, Leijun invested 250,000 yuan in Lakara, accounting for 1.13% of the shares, with a return of several hundred times. In addition, Lei Jun also holds a number of listed companies.
