ThinkPad P-series notebook computers will be pre-installed with Ubuntu

Computers joining the Linux camp include ThinkPad P53, P53s, P43s and 17-inch ThinkPad P73. These computers support custom configurations and can purchase pre-installed versions of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Pre-installed Linux means Lenovo will officially provide compatible drivers and BIOS, which is absolutely good news for senior users such as engineers and developers.

Lenovo will distribute (some) firmware updates for ThinkPad laptops running Linux through LVFS.
