Technology companies are facing a boycott in the US and around the world because some believe that these companies are too powerful and have a negative impact on users or competitive market conditions.
According to people familiar with the matter, in the United States, the implementation of the anti-monopoly law is jointly administered by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Ministry of Justice, which regulate the four companies. Amazon and Facebook are regulated by the FTC, and Apple and Google are regulated by the Justice Department. The Ministry of Justice and the FTC generally do not admit that they are preparing for a survey.
This news led to a decline in the share prices of the four major companies.
