On May 17th, the first domestic brain-computer codec integrated chip jointly developed by Zhongdian Yunnao (Tianjin) Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “China Power Cloud Brain”) and Tianjin University jointly developed ——<quo; "The event was officially released at the 3rd World Intelligence Conference in Tianjin. This is a domestically-produced high-integrated brain-computer interaction chip with completely independent intellectual property rights, which can be applied to key application fields of brain-computer hybrid intelligence such as special medicine, rehabilitation medicine, brain cognition, neural feedback and signal processing.

The brain-computer interface is designed to establish a direct information exchange path between the human brain and the external environment, and is recognized as a key core technology for a new generation of human-computer interaction and human-machine hybrid intelligence. At present, the EEG acquisition and processing chips used in the development of brain-computer interfaces in China still rely heavily on imports. Limited by the way of brain electricity collection, computing equipment, etc., China's brain-computer interface technology faces enormous challenges in terms of decoding reliability and ease of use.

It is understood that the "brain language" chip is the wisdom of China Electronic Information Industry Group (referred to as "China Electronics") and Tianjin University in the field of brain science, the rapid transformation of scientific research results. Zhongdian Yunnao, a subsidiary of China Electronics, undertook the chip industrialization work. The chip is expected to realize the key control technology of China's brain-computer interface, and lead the Chinese brain science and brain-like intelligence research to change lanes.

Cheng Longlong, general manager of CLP Yunnao, said that in the future, "Speaker" will continue to "evolve" to further accelerate the rate of dedicated EEG computing and enrich the BCI expansion interface to provide technology for a new generation of brain intelligence competition. Support, opening the way for brain-computer interaction technology to be civilian, portable, wearable and easy to use.

It is reported that compared with the traditional brain-computer interface dedicated chip, "the brain language" integrated chip has the advantage of "fine decoding, high instruction, fast communication, strong interaction" and other features. The chip uses a highly integrated single-chip SOC FPGA solution to identify submicron-level EEG features that are submerged in background noise, breaking the bottleneck of traditional non-intrusive BCI recognition dominant features.

With high-efficiency computing capabilities, the "brain language" integrated chip can achieve ultra-high-speed EEG signal encoding and decoding, greatly improving the communication efficiency between the brain and the machine; through a variety of peripheral interfaces, significantly enhance the human and the environment The depth of information exchange, truly become the user's "third hand".
