GPD WIN 2, which went on sale last year, is better. It uses Intel Core m3-7y30 processor, and the core display has been upgraded to HD615, but AAA must have the lowest special effects to play with. Weak verification has always been the most criticized part of the GPD WIN series.
Perhaps it's finally figured out that GPD has recently hinted at the existence of Win 2 Max devices and will carry AMD APU, the specific model is Ryzen 5,2500U. (The figure above is a technical drawing of GPD Twitter account sharing).
Of course, the most difficult problem for GPD Win with APU is the heat dissipation of the processor. The typical power consumption of m3-7y30 is only 3.75W, up to 7W; but when it comes to Ryzen 5,2500U, the figures are 15W and 30W, respectively.
For this reason, GPD redesigned the heat dissipation system, Win 2 Max will be built-in dualFanThe radiator ensures that the temperature of the handset in the operating game room is not too high. In addition, Win 2 Max uses a 1280*800 pixel LCD display with higher resolution.
With the addition of AMD Rzyen 5,2500U, Win 2 Max has finally become a true game handset. It won't be a big problem to run AAA masterpieces in at least 1280*800 resolution and high quality.
As for the release date, there is no disclosure at this time. Some media expect GPD to show you this device at the Taipei Computer Show in June.
