Kaspersky Laboratory, a cyber security company, announced in a blog post that it had filed an anti-monopoly lawsuit against Apple with the Russian Federation Antimonopoly Bureau.
Specifically, Kaspersky's suit is related to Apple's Screen Time feature on iOS 12.
The cyber security company said that last year, Apple cracked down on its Kaspersky Safe Kids application. The application uses configuration files to help parents monitor what their children do on iOS devices.
In addition, Kaspersky pointed out that its Safe Kids application was not the only parental control application facing stricter censorship with the launch of Screen Time. Last December, Apple began cracking down on third-party screen time applications.
So Kaspersky was strongly dissatisfied with Apple's approach.
Kaspersky said the blow would turn the parent-controlled app market into Apple's monopoly, leading to stagnation.
