In a telephone interview, Qualcomm's cameras, computer vision andvideoJudd Heape, senior director of product management, revealed that ultra-high resolution smartphone camera sensors are indeed under development and are being developed by some leading sensor manufacturers in the industry. Although these products will not be available as engineering samples until Qualcomm announces the new specifications, they are expected to be available to original equipment manufacturers by the end of 2019, indicating that such manufacturers areDevelopmentSame product.

When asked if Qualcomm had actually tested a 192MP camera sensor with the ISP in its Snapdragon processor, Judd Heape denied the possibility because there was no such sensor yet. At present, the most common high resolution sensor on the market is 48 megapixels. This year, more high resolution sensors will appear in the size of 64 megapixels.

By the end of this year, we will see more than 100 million pixels from two sensor manufacturers. These will also be typical four CFA (color filter array) image sensors. Qualcomm made this statement about its understanding of ISP design and its ability to maximize width and height. Qualcomm is confident that it can handle such a large resolution, but so far no physical prototype can be tested, and Qualcomm has not disclosed the specific details of the frame rate of the video taken at that time.
