From the point of view of size, these six mobile phones are paired in pairs. Galaxy S10E and the iPhone XS are the smallest in size, but interestingly this is a comparison between Samsung's entry flagship and Apple's mid-range flagship. Second, the size difference between the Galaxy S10 and the iPhone XR is only a few millimetres, and the last two high-end flagships are the same size. The size of the iPhone XS Max is only 3 millimetres wider than that of the Galaxy S10 Plus.
There will be no pairing in terms of weight. Apple's iPhone weighs more. The lightest iPhone weighs several grams more than the heaviest Galaxy S10. The only exception is that if the user chooses the 5G special version of Galaxy S10, the weight will increase by 23g.
The color of the iPhone is relatively basic, with silver, gold and gray versions of the XS and XS Max. Apple's iPhone XR offers blue, yellow, coral and red options.
Texture of material
All six mobile phones have excellent waterproof properties. Apart from the IP67 level of the iPhone XR, all five mobile phones are IP68. This means that these mobile phones have the functions of shock-proof and water-proof, and can work normally for 30 minutes in 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) deep water. However, Apple says that the iPhone XS and XS Max can work under water at a depth of 2 meters, while the iPhone XR can only work under water at a depth of 1 meter.
Like the body size, the screen sizes of the six mobile phones are paired in pairs. Phone XS and Galaxy S10e have 5.8-inch screens, while Galaxy S10 and entry-level iPhone XR are as high as 6.1 inches. Galaxy S10 Plus can extend to 6.4 inches, while the display of the iPhone XS Max is 6.5 inches.
Screen occupation ratio
Screen proportion is a very important indicator in the process of promoting full screen. Narrow borders mean improved experience, and all six phones are beautiful. All three iPhones use the "Liu Hai" that began with the iPhone X in 2017. The front-end camera lens is contained in a small black strip extending downward from the top. In the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung offers another solution, punching.
The mobile phone industry is developing towards organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Only the low-end iPhone XR of the six mobile phones still uses liquid crystal display (IPS LCD). OLED and its derivative screen, Active Matrix (AMOLED), have some games compared with Super AMOLED and LCD. Because each pixel is illuminated individually, the display can present brighter colors, darker darkness and better contrast. Because the screens don't need LCD backlights, they can also be thinner, so the iPhone XR is the thickest here.
Biometric Recognition Technology
After two generations of changes, Samsung has abandoned iris scanners and turned to more proven fingerprint sensors and face recognition. Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus have built-in ultrasound fingerprint scanners in the lower half of the screen, while S10e has a capacitive fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. Although this may seem strange, the side fingerprints are exactly where the device is held.
Meanwhile, Apple abandoned fingerprint sensors a few years ago, making Face ID the only way to unlock biometrics.
All three Galaxy S10 phones use Qualcomm's latest chipset Snapdragon 855 (equipped with Samsung's Exynos 9820 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa). The three iPhones use Apple's latest processor A12 Bionic.
In terms of specifications alone, the memory capacity of the iPhone is only half that of the Galaxy S10. In fact, hand experience does not depend solely on memory, so the specific differences need to be tested later. On the other hand, Samsung has broken new barriers to its flagship, offering Galaxy S10 Plus a terrible 12 GB memory option - but that's not cheap.
All Samsung devices start at 128GB, while the iPhone is 64GB. Two entry-level mobile phones - the iPhone XR and Galaxy S10e - can reach up to 256 GB. Last year, the iPhone launched 512 GB, and now Samsung offers a 1 TB option version.
MicroSD Card Extension
If your phone's storage is full, Samsung can extend it with a MicroSD card, which can support up to 512GB. However, no matter which model of the iPhone, it does not support expansion.
Galaxy S10 Plus is the first major flagship product to break through the battery capacity of 4000 mA. Similarly, in purely digital terms, the iPhone battery lags far behind most competitors'phones, but Apple's strict control over hardware and software means that it can take full advantage of the battery and provide a higher lifetime.
All six mobile phones support fast charging. But there's a problem - the iPhone needs a dedicated fast charger, which costs about $70 to buy alone.
All six mobile phones support wireless charging, but both companies need to purchase additional wireless charging devices separately. As a matter of fact, no mobile phone manufacturer will give away wireless chargers at present. The Galaxy phone also has a feature called PowerShare, which not only can be charged wirelessly, but can also be charged by placing another cell phone or device on Galaxy.
All three Galaxy series use standard USB-C ports, while the iPhone uses Apple's proprietary Lightning ports. If you have a pair of plug-in headphones, you'll be happy to know that Samsung still offers a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Galaxy S10e and S10 have good front-end cameras with 10 million pixels and an aperture of f/1.9. The S10 Plus also adds 8 million pixels of auxiliary front-facing cameras. The front of the iPhone is equipped with a 7 megapixel front-end camera with a TrueDepth 3D depth sensor.
Only the back of the iPhone XR fuselage is still single-camera, equipped with 12 megapixels f/1.8 pixels. The other two are dual-camera solutions, wide-angle lens and long-focus lens.
Galaxy S10e is equipped with wide-angle and ultra-wide cameras of 12 million pixels and 16 million pixels, respectively. S10 and S10 Plus have the same settings, but add an additional 12 million pixels of long focus lens.
All six mobile phones offer rich camera shooting modes. Users can take HDR photos, 4K resolution video with optical anti-shake, etc., and can take excellent photos in portrait mode. In addition, all six mobile phones support slow-motion shooting. One of the main selling points of the Galaxy S9 series has been inherited from the S10 series, which is Super Slo-mo, which shoots slow-motion at 960 frames per second.
Each of the six mobile phones runs the latest operating system. Galaxy phones are equipped with Android 9 Pie, while the iPhone runs iOS 12.
Three Apple devices are equipped with Siri voice assistants, and users can customize voice commands through Siri Shortcuts. Samsung also has its own voice assistant, Bixby, which can basically do the same thing.
The two iPhones were launched in September last year, and the XR was launched a month later. The Galaxy S10 series will be launched in March 2019.
