So far, Samsung's U.S. retail footprint mainly includes special space for pop-up stores and Best Buy chains. Samsung 837 is an exception. It is located in Meatpacking District of New York City. The most important function of the space is to show the technology of the Korean company.
Apple has long touted its retail stores as one of its main advantages, because people can try out products in advance, and if they need help with installation or troubleshooting, they can get it somewhere. Whether Samsung can cultivate the same or higher level of support services, or whether enough consumers choose to shop in stores rather than online or at third-party suppliers, remains to be seen.
The company's February 20 launch is expected to be the largest in a period of time. In addition to the Galaxy S10 and a foldable mobile phone, it should also launch a new Galaxy Watch smart watch, fitness tracker and wireless Galaxy Buds headphones.
