If Britain fails to reach a de-European agreement with the European Union, its mobile phone users may face higher roaming fees.

According to Foreign Media The Verge, Britain is trying to reach a trade agreement with the European Union and faces a fast approaching deadline before forcing its exit from Europe. According to a copy of the Department of Numbers, Culture, Media and Sports in the UKMemorandumWithout an agreement, the country could face a series of consequences, including higher mobile roaming fees for British users.


The memorandum also points out that the UK will implement new rules requiring operators to continue to notify UK users when traffic runs out and to limit their fees to 45 when they exceed the limit.
