Mirror Hi-Fi Assist also supports Google Assistant, which gives you additional voice commands, such as adjusting music or checking the weather without using Google Home devices. The speakers on the mirror provide high fidelity sound on a 2.5-inch acoustic driver. Simplehuman uses a proprietary light system to create two-sided mirrors that simulate natural light. There is also a night shift mode that gradually transitions to dim lighting for sleep, candlelight mode and night lighting mode.

In 2016, Simplehuman's mirror products support Alexa, so Mirror Hi-Fi Assist only supports Google Assistant, which is very interesting. These two mirror products come with the Simplehuman app, which adds more functionality. It can help you set up a timer that lets you adjust sound, light and sensor activity before you run out of daily skincare or hair styling.

This year's mirrors brought some wisdom to an ordinary household item, but to some extent they are just product iterations we saw in 2016. New features are speakers and different lighting modes. The two products will be available this spring with retail prices of $350 and $400, respectively.
