Recently, ZTE took the lead in completing the performance stability test and safety function test of the IMT2020 three-phase core network. This is another breakthrough after ZTE successfully completed the functional testing of the core network SA architecture at the end of September, which fully verified the maturity of ZTE's 5G core network system.

The China IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group, under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, launched the 5G Phase III test in November 2017, aiming to continuously improve the 5G technology research and development level and promote the maturity of the 5G industry.

ZTE launched the latest 5G core network version, which is based on the 3GPP R15 standard released in September 2018. It uses SBA, microservice components and network slicing to achieve flexible and agile business innovation; through stateless design (business logic and data) Phase separation), improve service reliability and enhance user experience; achieve minute-level deployment through flexible business orchestration.

ZTE completed the three-phase core network performance stability test and security function test using this latest version.

The performance test mainly includes three parts: NFVI platform performance, 5G core network element single/multi-virtual machine deployment service performance, and whole system capacity and stability test. The ZTE system (including the NFV platform and the 5GC core function network element) is uniformly deployed on the general-purpose server platform, and interfaces with third-party instruments according to the requirements of the business model to complete all test cases, and the test results conform to the business model and specification requirements.

The security function test focused on the terminal identity management and the security business processes in the registration and mobility process. The ZTE system successfully passed all the necessary test cases.

Liu Jianhua, general manager of ZTE's telecom cloud and core network products, said: “ZTE will actively support and cooperate with the work of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to help the 5G industry mature and jointly welcome the arrival of the 5G era. ”
