Meanwhile, vivo demonstrates the NEX 5G millimeter wave prototype for wireless connection.
Previously, on November 26, 2018, vivo was the first to achieve wireless connectivity with a 5G millimeter wave prototype (non-engineering development prototype).
On November 27, vivo became the first company in the industry to publicly display the NEX 5G prototype in the 5G sub 6 GHz band, through wireless access to the Internet and mobile Internet services such as text and video.
This exhibition is based on the latest version of NAS 5G standard, supports 100MHz bandwidth, TDD mode, and the peak rate can reach 1.7Gbits per second, which is 17 times the peak value of the current 4G network. Based on these features, vivo demonstrated 5G HD video applications to the audience at the conference site.

In addition, the NEX 5G millimeter wave prototype supports multiple antennas such as 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G sub 6 GHz, dual-frequency 5G millimeter wave, dual-frequency GNSS, and dual-frequency WiFi MIMO.
Vivo has repeatedly said that vivo will launch 5G pre-commercial mobile phones in 2019, in line with the carrier's testing process. In 2020, when Chinese operators start large-scale 5G commerce, vivo will launch commercial 5G smartphones to the market.
