According to The New York Times, Apple's news subscription service will be launched "very soon." Bloomberg has also previously reported that the service will be available next year.
And as the New York Times pointed out, publishers are accustomed to Apple's involvement. While Apple's services can help them find new readers and subscribers, they have little trust in the new audience and revenues that technology companies promise.

On Apple News's "Headline News" page, the company still relies on former journalists to review and select the news to be displayed, giving them the opportunity to veto reports that appear to be problematic or erroneous. In other words, other parts of the news on the application are still selected by the algorithm.
