Welcome to the 2018 Perth China forum!
I would like to thank the organizers of the forum for their diligence and hard work. I hope all of you can participate, because from my point of view, it is very important to connect the areas of scientific and technological innovation between China and the United States. I want to share with you some of my experience through the video of the summit.
In the past few decades, I have been privileged to work in the big technology platforms of China and the United States. In the process, I have witnessed the tremendous impact of technological innovation on society, economy and human progress. The strong force contained in this new era of technology is inseparable from the hard work of entrepreneurs.
And entrepreneurs like the young leaders here, especially the new generation of entrepreneurs from top universities, you are the promoters of technological innovation in the new era, and the core driving force for human progress around the world.
It seems to me that China and the United States will undoubtedly become the two major centers of technological and economic development in the coming decades. China has a bigger market and faster economic growth, and its rapidly developing innovation ecosphere will bring a lot of opportunities for technological development and innovation. At the same time, the United States has a large number of top talents and technology. Therefore, strengthening cross-border cooperation and exchanges between China and the United States will stimulate more innovation and bring greater positive impact to the world.
As can be seen from the rapid development of frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, we are at the forefront of the wave of technological innovation and this wave will become more intense. In conclusion, I would like to appeal to all of you here to join the revolution in science and technology, to meet heroes from all walks of life, to draw on their strong points and to show their great achievements.
In this era, the closer we are, the more powerful we can change the power of the world. YC China is willing to work with you to build a better world.
