On the evening of August 30th, China O2O Smart Retail Enterprise Suning Tesco (002024.SZ) released its 2018 semi-annual report.
According to the financial report data, from January to June 2018, Suning Tesco realized operating income of 110.678 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.16%; the sales volume of goods reached 1.512.39 billion yuan (including tax, the same below), an increase of 44.55%. In the first half of the year, Suning Tesco realized a net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of RMB 6.003 billion, an increase of 1959.41% over the same period of the previous year.
The semi-annual report also showed that as of June 30, Suning Tesco purchased a total of 5,558 self-operated and retail cloud franchise stores, a net increase of 17,11 stores from the end of 2017.
Zhang Jindong, chairman of Suning Tesco Group, believes that Suning Tesco has maintained a high growth in its main income for two consecutive quarters and has entered the track of rapid development. At present, the trend of online and offline integration development of the entire retail industry has been clearly defined. As the only enterprise in the retail industry that has developed synchronously and on the same scale, Suning has entered a stage of qualitative change. High-speed growth is the new normal of Suning's future development and will continue. Go on.
Online, Suning continues to grow its online business by optimizing its shopping experience, enriching its merchandise categories, and enhancing social and content marketing. In the first half of 2018, the company achieved an online platform commodity transaction scale of RMB 88.322 billion, a year-on-year increase of 76.51%. Through innovative marketing, push and other marketing products, Suning has improved its ability to acquire new users. As of June 30, the number of registered members of the Suning retail system was 357 million. According to the latest data, the number of monthly users of Suning Tesco is expected to reach 70 million in August, driven by the 818 fever shopping festival.
Online, Suning Tesco reshapes the retail scene to achieve a scene-wide coverage for the full-tier market. As of June 30, the company has a total of 4813 self-operated stores and 765 retail outlets in Suning. The development of Suning has entered a stage of rapid expansion, and the quality of store operations in various formats has continued to improve. In the first half of the year, 3C home life professional store, Suning Tesco direct store, Suning red kid store comparable store sales revenue increased by 5.26%, 24.74%, 49.08%.
In the first half of 2018, value-added services such as logistics and finance in Suning continued to maintain high growth, and service capabilities continued to increase, empowering smart retail ecosystem users. As of the end of June 2018, Suning Logistics and Tiantian Express had a total area of 7.35 million square meters of warehousing and related facilities, with 23,416 express delivery outlets, and Suning Logistics' socialized operating income (excluding Tiantian Express) increased by 118.49%.
During the reporting period, the number of new card-linking members in Suning's financial payment business increased by 48% year-on-year, and the cumulative transaction volume of supply chain finance increased by 29% year-on-year. As of June 2018, the total assets of Suning Bank increased by 28% compared with the beginning of the year.
