To get the beta software, users can initiate an access request through Google Group and download it from the Play Store test page. After downloading, users will see Apple Music as a source for Android Auto.
Apple's move will give Android users a new option to experience Apple Music music services, not just the previous Aux external or Bluetooth. Many in-vehicle information systems support both CarPlay and Android Auto, which can really improve the user experience for Android users.
In addition to supporting Android Auto, the latest beta also brings features that were previously unique to iOS, such as songs based on lyrics, Artist Pages, and Frieds Mix.
