The design team must take the atmosphere of Mars and other factors into consideration when designing the Mars habitat, such as the microgravity environment, solar radiation, and dust storms. So these designs need to include information about the structural thickness of the habitat, the pressure seal system, the air filtration system and the heating system.
Figure 5, the habitat designed by the SEArch /Apis Cor team consists of two independent pressure sensors.
These habitats also have to have enough space to accommodate 4 astronauts for a year and have extra space to accommodate the machinery and paraphernalia needed to perform the task. A group of transboundary experts from Disney and NASA are judging these designs from the perspective of integrity, layout design, 3D printing feasibility, and aesthetics. Next, these models will be proportionately transformed into miniature models.
Figure 6, the design of this dome shape has won fifth. It has an inflatable base.
Here is the details of the third stage award winning design.
1, the Zorpheus team won the first place in the competition, which was built in a huge lander and used to build the Martian concrete.
