Notebook Odyssey Z uses 8th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, built-in 6 cores and 12 threads, up to 16 GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage, 15.6-inch 1080p display with 6 Nvidia GTX 1060 Max-P graphics card with GB GDDR5 memory. Samsung said that users can not only expect a smooth game, but alsovideoEditing and 3D rendering.
Notebook Odyssey Z measures 17.9 mm (0.7 inches) thick and weighs 2.4 kg (5.3 lb). It features a revolutionary cooling system. The system includes a dynamic diffusion steam chamber that provides edge-to-edge coverage of the CPU and GPU. The Z-blade blower and a Z AeroFlow cooling design push cold air both above and below the hot area of the machine while eliminating hot air vents. Silent mode reduces fan noise to 22 dB for epic battles in a quiet environment.
In addition, the Notebook Odyssey Z also offers USB-C, USB 2 and 3, HDMI ports, a 720p webcam, two 1.5 W speakers, and a backlit keyboard. Samsung chose to place the touchpad on the front of the keyboard to provide desktop gamers with a familiar layout. Later this month, the Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z will be available for sale in several markets and will be available in the US market in the third quarter of 2018. Pricing for the Notebook Odyssey Z has not yet been announced.
