In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Apple users, Shanghai Consumer Protection Committee recently fulfilled its responsibilities under the laws and regulations. On the basis of reviewing and aggregating the opinions of consumers, they issued separate inquiry letters to Apple China and Apple Global Headquarters, asking Apple to Reply to the following questions:

Second, Apple did not inform and did not obtain the consent of consumers without authorization through the system upgrade caused by mobile phone performance degradation. What effective remedial measures will be taken?
Third, Apple will lead to lower performance updates and other updates bundled with the update to consumers, so that consumers can not choose when updating. In order to protect consumer's choice, how to update the normal update and the mobile phone system may adversely affect the update introduced separately?
Fourth, in order to protect the consumer's right to know, Apple Inc. in the mobile phone sales and system updates, the information has a significant interest with consumers, how to do a true, comprehensive disclosure?
Shanghai Consumer Protection Committee attaches great importance and will continue to follow up on the progress of the incident.
According to statistics of Shanghai Consumer Protection Commission, Shanghai Consumer Protection Commission received 964 complaints about Apple products and services in 2015 from 4,021 in 2016 to 2,615 in 2017. These complaints related to battery quality, accidental shutdown, account number Stolen, after-sales service and many other issues.
According to the "inquiry letter" requirements, Apple should be January 19, 2018 Shanghai Consumer Protection Commission to give a reply.
