Last year, Tesla confirmed its cooperation with the Shanghai government to build a factory and promised to issue a public announcement by the end of 2017, but its cooperation was not reached. This week at CES, Matsushita President Kazuhiro Tsuga said Matsushita is considering building a factory in China to produce batteries for Tesla, which will be similar to the two companies' agreement in Nevada.

According to Nikkei, Tsuruga said: "Panasonic may follow Tesla's investment and make any necessary investments, but there is no detailed plan at the moment." Tsuruga also pointed out that Model 3 production Lower than expected, affecting the operation of the super-factory. This week he will be visiting the Nevada Super Factory.

According to the Electrek website, as of now, the cooperation between the two seems to be mutually beneficial. It makes sense to replicate this successful model of cooperation to other factories, and building a plant in China seems to be the first choice of both.
