According to Mark Reinhold, chief architect of the Oracle Java platform, Java 9 may be postponed until September 21, 2017.
ReinholdWrite a message to OpenJDKSaid that even if the Java Community Executive Committee (JCP EC) decided to vote not to pass JSR to the next stage, it would not mean that it would be permanently invalidated. This means that the EU has put forward some hope that the JSR 376 expert group (EG) to solve the problem. The JCP rule only gives EG 30 days to solve all the problems (as of June 7), and the second EC vote will not be revised later than June 26.
In a series held in Maytelephone conferenceAfter that, Reinhold suggested that efforts should be made on June 22 to release the candidate version, but the GA date was postponed from July 27 to eight weeks to September 21 to accommodate the extra time through the JCP process. & Ldquo;
To be specific, I adapt that we move the GA date out by eight weeks, from 27 July to 21 September.
If no other objections were made before 23:00 on 6 June, or if the answer was improved and satisfied, it would be a new timetable for JDK 9, according to the JEP 2.0 process.
